As the runners crossed the line
    In the Boston Marathon
    They felt the explosions
    Of the nearby bombs

It reminded us of another time
    More than ten years before
    When the Twin Towers fell
    And that reign of terror

    Vigilant Forever
    We must stay alert
We've got to defend our country
From those who would see it fall
    Vigilant Forever
    We must be on guard
    We must stand together
For peace and the good of all

    Some still recall Pearl Harbor
    And the Japanese attack
    They know well what happens
    If we turn our backs

    Iran and North Korea
    Two volatile rogue states
    We've got to protect ourselves
    From violence and hate

    Vigilant Forever
    We must stay alert
We've got to defend our country
From those who would see it fall
    Vigilant Forever
    We must be on guard
    We must stand together
For peace and the good of all

    Solo
    Chorus

Our country is being taken over from within. The greed that has overtaken helpfulness is making the country lose its ability to be what it was once.

greed leads to seperation of the classes
    seperation leads to alienation
when that has run it's course,
and the poor see no value in fighting the wars of/for the rich
    the polity is ended

No. We must prevent peoples from being mutilated and murdered.

My take is to find those who teach you that countries "fall", or are under threat.
    Only people bleed.

You've turned your back on history, that's for sure.

Those two states probably think just the same.
But this time, you'll have a tougher job to link them with Boston events...

Your narrow view of the world does not allow you to use the word "we" and "all".

If that was true Moderators would have banned you already for this disgusting hate propaganda.

I think the USA has finally cornered the market on violence and hate. And you can add ignorance to the mix.

Both 9/11 and the boston bombing were mostly arbitrary acts of violence committed by those who viewed their purpose as a means of apotheosis. They were inconsequential to the safety of the United States, and nothing more than a few individual's illusory perceptions on morality and purpose.

People of the USA have a difficult time seeing the USA with other eyes. In particular, how would we feel if a foreign country, an Arab/Muslim foreign country, created a very large military base here in the USA and used it to bomb Canada or Mexico? Pretty bizzare huh? Well, that's what we did (and still do) in Saudi Arabia. We use our base in Riyadh. (Don't get me wrong, I really don't care much for Saudi Arabia. But it's still wrong.)

I sure hope this president has the "balls" to NOT go to war with Syria, Iran, or N. Korea. I'm sick of these chicken-hawk congressman and presidents who can't wait to go to war. I know, Dems have been just as guilty about starting wars as the Repubs, Vietnam comes to mind, although that was a continuous mess by both parties starting in 1946 -- see the Pentagon Papers.

Violence and hate come from the people and people are everywhere on this planet. So don't think for a moment that America has the "market" cornered but only a small part of it. Just look around at other countries which promote violence through their teachings and fear mongering, the Middle East and North Korea are but a few examples.
