How is it that you came across this forum?

For me, I googled "science forum" after peaking around in another science related forum (EvC if anyone is curious...).

    cheers,

I first known of "wall" style internet communication. It seemed exciting at first, that international dialogue may occur, but then it turned to rubbish.
After a while I still tried to find other chat stuff through google and eventually became specific in forum terminology.
I like this site because it is more loose in discussion, without excessive hostility, pompousness, or having "crackpot" being thrown all over the place (or at least I want to believe so).

I got chucked off another forum!

After a rather eloquent description that the other forum members may one day evolve from fecal coliform .... etc etc

I googled and found it, as well as SFN. But SFN is having problems, so I've been spending more time here.

I googled "science forum" and found this one amongst about 3 others. This one appeared to have the highest traffic, diversity of topics and knowledgable posters.

The folks over at Internet infidels (group for the promotion of naturalism) usually have a good knowledge of science, especially Biology, Physics and Chemistry. Although the posters over there are usually fairly polemic in their responses, there's a good base of users over there (currently 291 users browsing) so you get good response times.

    Somehow, that fact is obvious.

I found this forum while looking for a forum on science topics via google. It helps to improve my overall knowledge to take part in discussions. Also for more "evil" purposes . Such as overthrowing Zelos's resident evil reign and replacing it with my own! <.< >.>

I googled "science forum" and this was the first link.

I left another forum when the most intellegent conversation centered around who was the cutest guy on "Gilmore Girls" and the most used word was "stupidhead"

I just joined thanks to a positive google search for a science forum that was international and hopefully valid in its contents :-D
About contents I still have to check it out so I need some more time to judge it, but at first impact seems nice 8)

Welcome, If your ideas are half-cocked, we'll try to put them right for you, It does not seem a stuffy forum like many others, way more laid back, a lot of humor in the replies. 8)
