I have an Earth Science project due April 8th and was wondering if i could get some help. I need to know if its an igneous, sedimentary or a metamorphic. Also if you could identify the name of the rock that would be great, Thanks. get-attachment-1.aspx.jpgget-attachment-2.aspx.jpgget-attachment.aspx.jpeg

Do you know what clues to look for when distinguishing classes of rocks? What makes each one unique?

Two of them should be pretty easy to identify, especially the first one, but I can't really see the third pic very well so I can't comment on it.

So work through the rationale. WHY do you think it is metamorphic? What characteristics of metamorphic rocks does the sample display?

If i am seeing the third image correctly is not actually a rock. Rather its a specific mineral which may grow in any of the three rock types

Your eyes are better than mine, apparently. I am sitting in the sunshine, though.
