I adored Diana Rigg as Emma Peel in the Avengers series.

Diana Prince, was Wonder Woman's civilian guise.

These were my female role models as a girl because these women were powerful and respected and not bound by the conventions and mores of the time.

I found portman much more attractive when she was younger, say, 7 years old.

Not sure what to make of that, so I'm just going to nod by head and back out of the thread slowly.

Also you forgot Kell LeBrock, who can forget her from Weird Science back in the 1980's:

Isn't Jessica Alba required for any obligatory list of hot women? I think this might be a violation of the rules.

Also, Kelly was the first nude woman I ever saw as a kid in The Woman in Red. She'll always have a special place in the seedy gutter part of my brain.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that we're not alone in our attraction to either woman.

Brigitte Bardot, to me is the most beautiful woman who has ever lived, in my eyes anyway, since I first struck eyes on a photo of her I have never since been able to find another woman with the unique, ravishing beauty that she once upon a time beheld. She is a timeless enigma to me.

Hey I have no objection to George Clooney on here, perhaps might need another thread for males though unless he's had an op I'm not aware of at least , I think though this thread is just a bit of fun and so long as the pictures arn't gratuitous or to suggestive then why not really, the subject is about beauty which is interesting to study. I think we can also actually learn something about beauty and the way people are portrayed, I mean to suggest that people don't need a ton of make up, fancy clothes or strange poses to be beautiful, as I did try rather subtly to point out, perhaps to subtly I guess lol.

Why has the buzz-word "hot" come to be the synonymous equal to "sexy", as applied to women? (And men!)?

For the same reason something good was referred to as "bad" when I was a kid.

In retrospect, having entered the age group considered "relics", almost everything having even the slightest sexual connotation was said to be "bad". Compare with the remark my wife's young black male co-worker made, upon seeing her arrive in a Mustang Cobra: "Those cars are bad!".
