Does anyone have any new ideas to develop upon ???? Cant find somethin interesting!!!
How about an Idea Generator?
How about the future? Peerless predictions, what's next and why.
Here are some possibilities:
1. What might the New Horizons probe find when it reaches Pluto?
2. What surprises can we expect when Dawn reaches Ceres?
3. Is any alternative to the Out of Africa theory now dead in the water?
4. Is the presence of Neanderthal DNA in a percentage of humans now well established?
5. When can we expect to see room temperature super-conductors?
6. Have we reached peak oil and if not when will it occur?
7. How reliable is the molecular clock for dating taxa forks?
8. Is Gold's idea of the deep, hot biosphere confirmed by recent discoveries?
If you don't find at least one of those questions interesting I can't help you.
If you do, start researching them. Ask about anything you don't understand here.
Why does it have to be new? I like to rethink what we know.
Hi there, not sure what kind of ideas you are looking for but here are a couple I had the other day. The first idea occurred when driving home, one strech of road just seemed to have advertising sign after sign every 100ft or so, there must have been about 30 of them one after another. Far to many to actually really take in, and even if you could it's a seriously distracting hazard. So what I thought was, with modern cars now usually being fitted with sat navs and colour displays that these advertising signs could be electronically replaced. Instead of placing a big bright sign by the road side instead advertisers could place a radio signal transmitter that sends an 'electronic' advert to any passing cars that is then displayed along with all the other such electronic adverts when the car is parked and the driver can give them his full attention. This could be achieved by a website that converts conventional adverts into a code given in the form as a radio signal and then sent out using a small radio transmitter instead of the sign or advert. This could then be implemented in the car/vehicle by new sat nav software that automatically matches the recieved codes to the actual adverts that are broadcast along with normal satnav data.
The second idea I had was when I drove past three buses that seemed to have about only 5 passengers between them. My idea would be for buses to operate in rural areas more like taxis. With a central computer system directing the buses along the best routes to pick up all the passengers to take them to their destinations. Passengers would use a mobile phone app to let the system know where they want to go to and where they need to be picked from then would select an appropriate time slot. The system would then collate all the data and work out how many buses are required and send them their routes direct to their sat navs.
I forgot that most want to develop ideasfor the sake of money -NTTIAWWT.
In terms of technology, privacy will be thebest avenue and basically, 'uninventing'.
I don't think I'm alone in realizing thatlow tech is not only cool but isthe best of technology without the payment of privatus.
Everything from walking naked in yourbackyard to keeping your thoughts private will require technology to counterwhat is already invented or will be
I've taken a recent interest in supertall structures and arcologies. I find the future of human habitation on Earth to be very interesting.
I am really excited by the CERN Alpha experiment. Partly because it could (but almost certainly won't) come up with a surprising result. But mainly because it is brilliant piece of technology and experimental design.

Why not have smaller mini type of busses that way more busses could be used to pick up people faster so they don't have to wait so long. The second idea I had was when I drove past three buses that seemed to have about only 5 passengers between them. My idea would be for buses to operate in rural areas more like taxis. With a central computer system directing the buses along the best routes to pick up all the passengers to take them to their destinations. That's a really good idea for a long term planning stratergy for rural areas and the mini buses would certainly be more flexable and cost effective, I think the idea could also work as short term solution as well though, whilst waiting to restock the buses, by reducing the number of current larger buses needed and ensuring they have routes where they are actually picking people up. Everybody is costing cutting and trying to save money at the moment, so to me the idea of buses driving around all day and only picking up one or two people just seems like a huge waste of money and a load of unnecessary polution.
I'm trying to find ways that will help the environment and by having mass transportation available , to me, would be better than everyone having their own vehicles. You could use a bus to get to work during the week but also have a vehicle that you own so that on weekends you can go where you want. I only suggested a smaller type of mini bus because that way you can hold up to 12 people or so onboard and once full they could get to wherever they are going faster because they won't be stopping to pick up anyone else. Since there are more of them, during peak driving times, there would be another bus coming along in a very short time making waiting for them faster as well.
Yes, you are right. I was just being facetious. I assume there is a balance between larger (more efficient - hopefully) vehicles which may be largely empty a lot of the time and smaller vehicles which may be less efficient themselves but can get higher efficiency per person.
I doubt that this is the same everywhere or at all times so it is probably a difficult thing to manage. At some times of day it may be best to have minibuses (or even taxies/private cars) but at other times of day, you want larger vehicles.
Make an App for a cell phone that does puzzles in four dimensions. That would be new!
In light of all this talk of mass transportation. There is a mass transit system I fantasize about often (For all intents and purposes - Sci-Fi), I call it the centipede. It would be used for densely populated city centres. It would more-or-less be a continuous loop of cabins that completely fills the track, and it would stop at every peak, middle, and valley of a curve.
