I'm not the brightest bulb in the box, so I figured I would consult some of you for help haha
I'm curious- would we as humans be able to survive without electromagnetic waves?
In the electromagnetic spectrum we have ultraviolet and infrared rays which are (unless I am misunderstanding this completely) two ways that sun energy travels to earth. If we took away Ultraviolet and Infrared rays, would plants still be able to grow?
Also, visible light is one of the waves on the electromagnetic spectrum. Without it, would be only be able to see in black and white or would we not be able to see at all? Sorry if these are too confusing haha. I just had a "curious itch."

The question is not so easy.

Thermal radiation is part of EM radiation and you just described a Universe that could not function in any manner as we know it much less any kind of life as we know it.

No, because no energy would reach us from the sun. The earth would be a very cold and hostile place.

also atoms wouldn't hold together without the electrostatic force. it is one of the basic forces in the universe.
Sometimes it is better not knowing than having an answer that may be wrong.
