    In the 1920's Dr. A.E. Douglass, Astronomer, made an assumption that there was a connection between Sun Spots & Climate Change on the Earth on a 11 year cycle. Dendrochronology ( Tree Ring Science) proved this to be correct. From the drought years we, in Florida have experienced, I was wondering when was the last "Sun Spot" cycle ?

    There's actually isn't a very strong signal between sun spot and tree growth, a low correlation from only a few places. More common, are studies which can't find any signal such as this old study, from tree ring science: http://www.treeringsociety.org/TRBTR...ol32_19-33.pdf

    We're actually just coming off the peak of an 11 year cycle...a mild one this time around:
