Ok this one is really simple to play, it starts like this, someone comes up with a word, can be anything, now everyone else has to find a translation for that word in a foreign language, if after an hour no more translations can be found then the last person wins that word and gets to choose the next one!

    Ok I will start: Goodbye

does it have to be a direct translation or can it be an expression that is used for the same purpose

Such as Shalom, Namaste, Assalaam alaikum wa Ramatulahi wa Barakatu, and hasta la vista bebe

Most, arguably all, of mine fall into the latter category. After all, the only "direct" translation would be a shortened form of "God be with you"...

I have friends from Ghana; they speak Twi (Akan). “Goodbye” in their language is

    ɔkyena
It means literally “(until) tomorrow”. This is how they generally say farewell to one another, even when they know won’t be seeing each other again until after tomorrow.
