Thread: Have you got any IDEAS for inventions?

Hello everyone.
There is much discussion about science in main. But I can see few topics about INVENTIONS. To be honest - almost none.
When I search for word "ideas" there is no results.

Do you have any ideas for new inventions? Or maybe you think that everything has been invented already ?

Many years ago I thought it would be really cool if automobiles could communicate with one another. It could be used for a lot of things. If someone is driving as though they are drunk, the information could be relayed to other vehicles. If somebody is on the highway and almost hits a deer, the information could be relayed to vehicles in the vicinity. If there is an accident nearby, the information could be relayed to vehicles other vehicles that are nearby. You get the idea. Anyway, turns out that Toyota has been developing these types of capabilities for their vehicles. Naturally, I've been wearing an aluminium foil hat ever since.

I had a great idea sometime back to create a multi-blogging website where many people could discuss issues such as politics, religion and science.

Some kind of PostPage where a member could write out ideas and even edit them for clarity. This way, many people around the world could interact, argue and share ideas.

I decided against it because I know that such a thing would never be popular. But a man can dream...

I've had a few. Some of which (depending on how you define "invention") have gone into production.

I consider that highly unlikely. For example no-one's invented the correct search engine yet.

Since most inventions are something new then divulging what those inventions are would only prevent the inventor from getting their patent before someone else develops their ideas. You see ideas are easily attainted but hard to actually design and make them, that costs money and takes time. Who would want to give away a billion dollar idea to others then receive nothing for their coming up with that idea?

A machine that uses multiple energy generating techniques to slowly start from the bottom (power-wise) like a small gear to which then eventually builds up to a larger energy generator which can harness other forms of energy, generating steam, having water flow, electric current in that water, electric coil wrapped around a wire generating a current etc upwards into a boiler or something. Not really gone forth into any more thinking on this one. I just see that because there is a lot of wasted energy in energy generating machines, why not capture that waste and use it to power another energy generator through an accelerated form of energy, use energy wasted from a larger machine to power a smaller one, or perhaps the other way around which would use smaller wasted energy generators to power larger ones - repeat the process.

The way I see sharing ideas is that I'd rather humanity gain something new and advance itself than make a profit for myself. But that's just me

because i am getting to old to pursue the idea for myself..
also i don't have the resources or knowledge to see my idea to reality..

that being said, i would hope that someone who does have the resources and knowledge to make my idea happen would do so, and at least give me a tip of the hat..(would prefer cash..but i have no faith in human nature for that..)

anyway..

first the companies that makes cruise controls have to incorporate a RFID reader into their system so that we can install RFID tags on speed limit signs,
so those that have their cruise control set on long trips would automaticly reduce their speed as they approach a change of speed zone, virtually eliminating the 'i didn't see it' excuse, and creating a work-around for not paying attention.
