need help with a crossword puzzle.

The major reason for the rejection of science in the past (or even today). ?E?R
Meaning "Forever unchanging" something that doesn't apply to scientific theories.
    ?E??E???L
A Prior understanding or way of thinking (a "given"). ?S????T?O?
The most important element for the earth sciences in the T??E factor, required for most processes.

Thanks for your help ahead of time!

There's no other word in the english language which would fit. Yes, cosmic egg is correct.
    Its the way nature is!
If you dont like it, go somewhere else....
To another universe, where the rules are simpler
Philosophically more pleasing, more psychologically easy

I never heard it called that, but I don't know what else would fit.
