Thread: Quadera software

    Hi everyone!

    I am having problems starting the software Quadera and I'd appreciate any help you can give. I am using Quadera 4.4 to control a Mass Spec but suddenly the program doesn't open. It starts loading but once it gets to where there are 3 seconds left of loading it displays an error message and nothing more happens. I've attached a picture of this - sorry about the quality. Has anyone seen this problem and/or knows how to fix it? (I have re-installed the quadera software but the same error exists still).

    Yes, Benny I succeeded - an engineer at Pfeiffer Vacuum helped me out. It worked for me - hopefully it will work for you too.
    I needed to delete some device files with the extension .qdd which are loacted in Quadera\4.4\Devices. The path to the Quadera folder is dependent on your windows OS.

    Hi Benny,

    I finally had the re-image the whole computer to get it working. Here are the things that I tried before installing a new Windows:

    - uninstalling the software and reinstalling it
    - uninstalling, restarting, and reinstalling
    - uninstalling, removing the Quadera folder from the HDD manually, and reinstalling
    - checking the windows registry variables for any specific string or value
    - sending back the machine to the older working states from msconfig and using the windows recovery system

    but whatever the reason for this was, it screwed up my account in the windows too because when I tried to repair the windows, as it reached to the login page, the OS would freeze and nothing would work.

    I realize this was a while ago, but I don't suppose you remember the device file names, do you? I can't seem to view the image of your error message, but all the other details sound like the problem I am having. And naturally this happens when the office is closed for the holiday, or I would just ask them this question. Thanks for making this post, btw. It's already been more helpful than anything else I've encountered in my quest for answers.

    I had to buy a UPS to prevent it happening in future. It's fine now.

    Thank you mobin_arab, and PhDemon! I was wondering how one purchased the United Parcel Service. I may have to look into getting one of those.
