Well my friends. We can all start to have our laugh today as the end of the world/Mayan Calander, is here and we're all doing well and having a nice day so far.

I guess what they really meant by "The End of the World!" was that we were in for a slight drizzel here on Boston's North Shore.

So, what's the beginning of the end of the world in your neck of the world like?

Hey! Wait! Richard C. Hoagland was one of the so-called "Dooms-day" prophets. I say we find him and all send him e-mails containing a good razz for scaring so many people on the planet with such terrible nonsense.

I think this whole thing is actually a disrespect to the Mayan people, and the culture of the people itself. I also think the real truth about what the Mayan calendar is and was saying, was totaly missed. Every one is sounding as people do when they have escaped the unknown. The truth about the Mayan calendar, is a part story from lots of stories. Planets alignments are a common thing, if anyone can remember we are living in space. We would have to know the reason for this particular calender, what was it used for, compare it with other calendars, because there are many of them, to know what it was all about.

As of now, people do not trust the Mayan calendar with all the Myths sourounding its real truths. Someone wanted this to happen, the question is why. The world has never ended as we know it, no one has ever survived a total destruction of anything because nothing would be left. The truth is what have me missed from the revelation of the Mayan calender. We on earth are so arrogant at times, to think that knowledge is not passed on to us. Some of you are very happey that the predictions did not materialise, becuase it would have meant the end of the world. But look a little farther, is there any truths that might interest us a a world full of people?

I think this is very true MF. I've been trying to ask people about it but everybody is too distracted by all the doomsday professy.

It's obvious that all this crap was made up to distracct from something real... whatever that may be.

* on the otherhand perhaps it contains nothing interesting but was just misunderstood. What is plain to see is that in the current climate it will be hard to learn anything about it without the anti conspiracy brigade accusing you of being a paranoid delusional conspiracy theorist. therefor... probably best to wait untill all the feelings die down and the rational minded might be able to safely study it again.

What truth's? It's a calendar. A tool for keeping track of time and seasons. Why assume it does anything else? I don't think anyone, with malicious intent, set out to screw with the Mayans. Some people are just paranoid delusional hacks that constantly worry about the end of the world and actually think its possible to predict the future.

To be honest though guys... I think the mayan calender coming to an end at this point might be in line with some kind of astronimical or astrological cycle.

It might have been a long time ago, but they clearly were not stupid, they had a lot of talent.

Whether it's the 'Age of Aquarius' or whether it's the start of a new solar cycle or what, Idk... but I imagine there is SOMETHING in it. No matter how small. I cannot see how any muggins can assume that this thought makes me a paranoid conspiracy theorist. I cannot bring myself to care either.

It's pretty and makes a nice piece to hang over the mantle. It's slightly more useful than stonehenge, since it is portable and so I can use the calendar as a serving platter if necessary.
