Nothing will happen. It is all fantasy made up by people who want to tell stories and sell books.
I predict that at the end of 2012, it will suddenly become 2013.
True that, but what about the so called 'scientific evidence'. I'm referring to the 'solar storm', do you think that's plausible or is it aswell a fictious claim ?
And global warming can someday be the cause ?
I'm really sceptic about this matter. I believe that it is very difficult that all of the human population gets exterminated, however I can imagine any cataclismic events that may wipe out a large fraction of it (tsunamis, earthquakes, etc..).
There is none. It's totally woo.True that, but what about the so called 'scientific evidence'.
There is nothing weird slated for the end of the year; no unusual alignments, no weird solar behaviour, no sudden unusual geologic events, no asteroids, nothing. All of it is pure nonsense based off of an inaccurate interpretation of the Mayan calender. Don't believe any of it, even when they use sciency sounding terms.
In the 45 years I have been on this planet, I have lived through 23 years when the world was predicted to end due to some crazy idea or another. I am therefore confident that this year will be no different.
It seems that there are a certain percentage of humans that need to believe this sort of nonsense - it makes them feel superior in that they have "secret knowledge", or it panders to their own feelings of insecurity and insignificance such that they delight in going around shouting "The sky is falling!!"

On or around December 21st there shall be a zombie apocalypse. That much is clear. What we need to do it arrive at a decision where the safest place to ride it out is.
5 maya long count calendars (5125 years)approximately equals 1 precession of the earth(about 25800 years)
(actually 5.03414634146 long counts)(notice the repeated # sequence?)
milutin milankovitch seems a peculiar mayan name?
pity we know so little about the olmec, who seem to have created this long count calendar
their astronomers seem to have used a math with base 13?
(sharpen up your stone chisels, it's almost time to carve a new calendar)
It seems there is confusion out there. I love it when I hear that science does not have all the answers. I was told from some philosophers that everything has a little lie and a little truth to it. I think it would be fool hardy to just willy nilly forget about the Mayan calendar. There are the Dogon calendars and many others do you think that they are all fools and its only western civilsation that can decipher truths? Do you belive that all the people who are talking about global warming are just guessing? What about all the lies we have been told by the authorities how do we know what is, from what is not. The world has never ended so we cannot say we know anything much about it no matter how old we predict it to be. This is my take for what its worth. The spiral has chanded in 2012 just as everything is changing the momentum is changing. It is leading to what was above is now below and reverse. What is man made is breaking down we don't need a special dectector to see this. We have created so much problems for the planet that even if the predictions of world destruction may not be true, man made destruction is very near. We also have to look for ourselves and see what we see and not leave everthing up to the scientists and impressionists.
That is very true.
Has anyone suggested we forger about the Mayan calendar? It provides valuable historical information. However it has nothing to do with predicting anything special for 2012.I think it would be fool hardy to just willy nilly forget about the Mayan calendar.
I have no idea what that is supposed to mean. The spiral has chanded in 2012 just as everything is changing the momentum is changing. It is leading to what was above is now below and reverse.
People have been saying almost exactly the same thing through all recorded history - and presumably before. There is no reason to think it is any more true now than before. What is man made is breaking down we don't need a special dectector to see this. We have created so much problems for the planet that even if the predictions of world destruction may not be true, man made destruction is very near.
eeek mother/father, we're all doomed, quick, get off the earth before it crashes.
My cousin actually believes this 2012 nonsense, or at least he says he does.
Since he thinks all will end then he will have no further need for his money. Bet him $20,000 it will not end. You can't lose; he will recognise that he is not quite as sure of the certainty of apocalypse as he says he is.
Scultor, I suspected what I said might be taken out of context, but I have to ask you. Is there a problem with world economy? If you think there is not, then you don't have confidence in your scientist that tell us the world economy is crashing. If you think there is something wrong then I suspect you think something is going to go wrong in 2012. Just to clear things up a little, sometimes some humans can see better than others, perhaps we should listen and look to see if what is said is understood. When predictions are made it is targeted to the believers, the skeptish ones stands on the side lines laughing and most times get caught in the famous saying "If I had only believed". I am not fearful of any event that is natural, but I am a litlle aprehensive when humans mind goes to work, especially the so called scientific ones who want to create a world for themselves but everyone else has to live in it. I am sure you have heard of astral travel although I am not sure you know anything about it, the posiblity might just exist to leave planet earth but only for those who know how to switch.
Jim, I bet you are not sure if its nonsense or not. You are sounding skeptical because you have to wait untill you see 2012 out before you can say your brother is wrong.
"The spiral has chanded in 2012 just as everything is changing the momentum is changing. It is leading to what was above is now below and reverse."
AH, my Strange friend, You said you have no idea what I am saying. I am talking about things changes as we evolve, I really cannot explain if you do not know what a spiral is. I think you do. Change is a spiral, children are spirals, thing fall apart and come together. There is now a black man in the "Whitehouse" do you see any change there? The vibration of the planet has changed, I hope you can feel it, if not you need to change so you can feel it. Take care my strange friend.
Spirals, energy, vibrations, crystal balls, and ballocks. Guys, I will explain it in purely scientific terms:
The world spiral joint overall energy vibration resonated at the frequency of the last age and is now crossing the threshold into the new age vibrational cosmic energy constant, which will increase the spiral spin energy and cosmic alignment wobble spiral frequency.
Clear? Good!
as/reastral projectionastral travel
somewhat like carlos castaneda's warrior dreaming the nagual
so even if the astral body is free of the earth, the dreamer remains
The world economy is in constant flux and has been as far back as out findings take us.
the 2012 date is peculiar to one calendar,
I am reminded of the Dali Llama's response to the Y2K
The Dalai Lama remarked that there is nothing special about a new millennium. The ticking over of zeroes doesn't change anything. "If we really want the next millennium to be happier, more peaceful and more harmonious ... , we will have to make the effort to make it so."
I can't believe the Dalai Lama made the common error of referring to the beginning of the year 2000 as a new millennium. It was the millennium year - the 2000th year - the last year of the second millenium. The new millennium did not begin until 2001. Nor did the 21st century.
This is all because there was no year 0.
(This is a pet peeve of mine. You can imagine what I was like at the end of 1999!)
Bnok forp guruggle plonk.
I knew I would get you to do something but this is out of my language range, I must be good to prompt you to react in such a Bnok forp guruggle plonk. way. Don't take it so hard my starge friend. Ha Ha Ha. Love it. I will try not to make it so hard on you.
I do not have a dreamer, but an observer. I think the Dali Llama and I see it the same way for now.
I do not believe in 2012. I am not a dismal pessimist. I am an optimist. I'd like to see the look on their face when 2013 is here.
I believe in 2012 every time I look at my calendar. It's real.
If the only way for humanity to survive was a 95% cull, would that not be an optimistic thing to hope for? And would you be the first to volunteer to be culled?
Surely the best of this is the opportunity to have a few friends around ( leave all weapons next to the dog kennel, the dog is having a leg extracted from his throat at the moment) and have a few cocktails and some home delivered Pizza. No balloons because of the Big Bang theory and sun glasses for when the solar flares start. westwind.![]()
On a serious note, if December 21, 2012 is supposed to be the end, marked by the ending of the 13th b'ak'tun, doesn't that also mean September 18, 1618 also was the end of the world, since it marked the ending of the 12th b'ak'tun? I'm pretty sure the world didn't end in 1618. If the world is supposed to end at the ending of a b'ak'tun cycle, then the world should've ended about ... *does intricate, precise calculation* ... 4 times since the beginning of the Common Era!
Is this supposed to imply that the world ends twice every thousand years? If so, I say even more proof that all this prophecy is pure fabrication. Then again, I'm no expert on Mesoamerican calendars, so maybe the the end of the 13th b'ak'tun holds more significance, though I doubt it.
There is no prophecy, only wishful thinking on behalf of the doomsayers.
Guys, guys, if Hollywood's taught us anything, I say we go to China. Anyone know a Tibetan Buddhist monk?
I've had another think about this. Yep, there's no doubt about it, its all up for us. Our time has come. Learn the words of "" Old Langs Iron", "" Crossing the Jorden, It's Time for you to go, River of no Return etc. Just in case I am spared I think it would be a good idea if you sent all your money and valuables to me now, I'll buy a couple of Submarines and we will lie in a deep ocean trench and eat Hot Dogs with hot english mustard. westwind.
I'm just saying, I currently live in Hobart, Tasmania. It is on the edge of the world. The mountain right next to it, Mt Wellington, has a water dam and plenty of wildlife. This is an open invitation to change the world. We are still breathing. We are still human. We have survived worse. We will be here. Join us.
Unless our government's decide,It's time to nuke ourselves..We're good![]()
The guy on the video was saying life is very simply all we need is food and a good shit. I found that funny. He sounds like a town cryer, you know those people in old England who used to call out the news in the streets.
I am sorry I spelt the word wrong, you know when you are bawling.
Hang on to your hats I'm sure some crazy sh**t out there will do something just to scare us humans.![]()
I live walking distance from the oldest brewery in Australia. How's that?We can raid it. And WiFi, of course.
