Hi there, what can we do to help you?
Hi thanks for replying,
Have you ever noticed a loud sound (like a jumbo jet) early hours of the morning just before it gets light. Everytime i hear it,, and others, there is nothing flying over head. The sound continues untill daylight breaks.
I have never, ever noticed such a phenomenon. I have never, ever heard of anyone else describing such a phenomenon. Here are some questions.
1) Do you hear this sound regardless of where you are?
2) Where are you normally? Town, country, village, Colombia, Latvia, the slopes of Mount Etna, in a forest, a prairie, the Arctic?
3) Does the sound change direction?
4) Does the sound change in intensity?
5) Have you had your blood pressure checked recently? (If not, I urge you to do so at once.)
6) What other people have noticed this?
7) Do these other people have explanations?
Finally, whatever you have it is not a theory. You will get much more serious attention paid to your idea if you call it a provisional hypthesis.
Hey if you could elaborate what your theory is we may be able to help.
I first noticed this when i lived in lithuania, I was with my partner at the time who pointed it out. It increses very loudly and drifts off into a hum. I didn't really pay much attention to it, but when i moved back to the uk i started to notice it more often. No matter where i have lived in the uk and abroad, its the same. I have mentioned this phenomina to my current boss who made the comment ''yes i hear it if im up at late, have you noticed that theres no aircraft flying over head when the sound happens''. To which i said '' you know not many people take note of this'' The other evening i was laying in bed with my current girlfriend, the sound came, i said to her ''you hear that sound'' she replied of course it a large plane. I took her out side we looked up from the roof on a clear night. She stated why cant i see a plane and why is it so loud. I siad to her, ''you watch night will now turn to day as the sound fades out. Low and behold it did.
You must try this!!!!
I dont want to say what i know it is to someone i have not met, because i believe i'm the first to realise this knowledge.
Please try this and get back in touch so we can discuss this further.
Not meaning to be rude or dismissive in any way but have you considered it could be planes above cloud level, this would explain why they sounded like planes but you couldn't see them, or that may'be they were travelling supersonic and the planes were gone by the time you heard them, possible maybe?
Afraid not my friend, I have researched this and waited. Even if they were supersonic you still see them and you always see the lights. I cant stress to you enough on how much you should dedicate a little time to notice this. Any noise high in our skies would most always sound like an aircraft due to the echo effect of the atmosphere and the rebound from the ground. We would automatically assume its an aircraft. As i said it SOUNDS like an aircraft, but when you listen to it, it sounds more like a ripping sound.
Would be interesting to try listening for it, unfortunately I live pretty close to an active air base and we are always having things take off so it would be impossible for me to tell.
That said though I don't think you are the only one to hear stange sounds, there was a thread on a while back where someone actually recorded some strange sounds, there seemed no immediate explanation for.

I dissagree, ive witn essed many times aircraft flying at supersonic, you see them well before you here them.
Well that's not always so. We regularly have very high level planes over Adelaide as they fly directly between Perth and Sydney.and you always see the lights
You rarely hear them unless you bother to keep listening long after they've disappeared visually, even then the wind normally "blows the sound away" along with all the disturbed air molecules - but you can see the flightpath on a clear day even though the plane is near invisible. Not visible at all on a cloudy day. It just looks like a little dot at the head of the white lines unless there's a flash of reflected sunlight. I've never seen any lights even when it's dark, they're much too far away. In fact, the curving trail across the sky is one of the best demonstrations ever that the earth is round not flat - if you'd never seen a satellite picture.
Given the crowded flightpaths across Europe at both lower and transcontinental flying heights, I'd want to be sure that something's not being missed here. Especially given all the military high flying aircraft around the place perfectly capable of sonic boom.
yes i agree with you, i have studied this for years, and would not waiste my own or anybody elses time on a meagre flighting thought.
How frequent are the sounds occuring, or is a constant thing?
every night before it turns to daylight. PLEASE TRY THIS PEOPLE, U WILL ASSUME ITS AIRCRAFT. BUT I NOW HAVE REALISED IT MUCH MORE, NO CONSPIRACY, SIMPLY SCIENCE MY FRIENDS.
I have studied science from an early age and have been repeatedly informed that 1 is naturally talented according to all colleges, school's, clubs, peers, technical egineers\artists. I have studied, cosmology, biology, physics, astrology and art. I use what i learn in my art which i shall post soon. As i am new to the world of forums im sorry if i offend. Its not intentional, i was raised on the streets and i was homeless from the age of 12 untill 23. So i am seriously sorry if i seem short tempered or untrusting in advance. Peace to 1 and all.
Do you now how long it takes the sound of a jet at 33,000 feet to reach the ground?
Do you know how far the aircraft will have traveled in that amount of time?
Do you know that some of the busiest hours for flights is the cargo shipments that arrive at airports just before dawn?
I was up at the hour you are suggesting last night and hear nothing out of the ordinary, just faint freeway noise, American Robins, and the occasional car. No low consistent rumbles.
