Thread: what would be some notable plant/animal life?

to clarify, what are some life forms that would interest me? like the bladderwort, or bamboo, or the bombardier beetle, or shorewater cuttlefish. im asking for some things that go extreme, bizarre, revolting, or plain fascinating, be it alive or extinct

some questions to answer while you are listing things:
what species of plant grows the fastest?
what species of plant grows slowest?
what is the smallest dolphin?
what combination of animals could cool?
what can you come up with from pure imagination?

I have fungus, lichen and non-vascular plant garden in a cookie jar. It's been fun.
