Can we assist evolution and make humans smarter?

yes. we have been making plants pesticide resistant, drought resistant, engineered medicinal bacteria, made live stock grow faster, meatier, bigger, why not us smarter? we are starting to see the dawn of genetics (where i am, its 5:30 am, bringing in a literal sense) and are seeing to it that it takes us to higher levels, greater lengths, and new horizons.
