Dear Meteor Wayne. You would be able to advise me on this. I would like to know when I might be elegible for Graduating to the next level within the Science Forum? Are there set goals that have to be reached before promotion can be considered.? I am a Freshman. Am I making any headway? I would like to be able to retire with some status. My grandchildren need to be proud of my contributions to the Science Forum. I need to have my self-esteem massaged. Do I have to pay money to get promotion? We are all in this together, Meteor Wayne, and if we are going to make progress we need to work together. westwind.

don't pay too much attention to the description - it's purely based on post count and not on the merits or demerits of the poster in question

I could change it to whatever you want for a nominal fee.

Which is a lucky thing for some posters, else we'd have create new categories like vole, turnip, rock...

Well, I'm a "forum professor" and I have no expertise in anything at all!

Dear Meteor Wayne. Thank you for posting. I rather fancy your suggestion of the vole. I;m not so sure of what it is, as I have never encountered one, must be native to your neck of the woods. Still, if my guess is right, ( I'm not one for doing a lot of research ), a vole sounds like mole, and maybe associated with the Earth Sciences, this would surely be a status position. I'll struggle on, my contributions come mainly from inspirational flashes of insight, and sometimes from the Kellogg Cornflake packets. westwind.

Voles are small omnivorous rodents that look like mice and are related to lemmings and muskrats...
