I've decided. I'm going to use one Sharpie black marker on three different types of fabrics. I'm still debating between detergent or bleach.
I'm just not sure why/how the mark is eliminated from the fabric.
Are there any MSDS for detergents?

My young friend, I was being facetious earlier.....please understand that the forum is the wrong place to go for homework help. I don't know why, other than the consensus is that you'll learn more by doing things yourself. In a world where you have all the information you'll ever need at your fingertips it seems kind of odd that no one will help you here. However if you were to rephrase your questions as if you were arguing against whether Tide does this or that in the Chemistry subforum then most likely someone would have an answer. Then from ensuing arguments you can extract the information you need without even mentioning an overdue science project. You need to learn how to use the system presented to you. Strictly begging for help here is taboo.

It is true we don't encourage homework being put here. Some of us are willing to help IF there' already significant effort shown and that help might be criptic just to get someone thinking in the right direction.

It sounds like the target learning has to do with chemical actions....so concentrate on that. For starters look up the chemicals for what you want to test...you might also search for "formula" or "active ingredient." Things should get easier from there.
