It never rained before noahs flood. I am not an atheist. But to belive that it only has been raining on planet earth for around 5 thousand years makes no sence. When these people make these clams it makes people like me who belive in God look pretty dumb. Not that I need any help! There was just dew that carved the grand canyon? Thats nuttier than a nest of kuckkoos ! filix.

The Young Earth Creationists have to ignore a great deal of solid information in order to defend their thinking. The fundamental argument they use is to say that geology is based wholly on assumptions, since no one was there to see the events we claimed happened. They tend to ignore the fact that no one was there to witness the events described in Genesis 1 and 2, yet they are quite happy to believe those contradcitory reports.

In truth, adherence to YEC beliefs should probably be considered a mental illness, therefore don't judge to the poor sods too harshly.

Well put. I think that some of these ones are afraid to look too deeply. Because they are afraid what they might find. And that removes their warm and fuzzy feeling. And goodness knows we cant have that! Filix.
