Thread: Awe-inspiring science images

Stumbled across a pretty interesting slideshow of micrographs of microbes on a Brazilian culture collection website, thought I'd share it.

I'd like to have an SEM image similar to those on that website as my desktop background but searches on Google were pretty useless. Anyone got any other interesting images from any sort of science?
