I was viewing yesterday an unknown hollywood american movie of 1970s, in it a scene in which a fat stout guy checks his weight on an american weighing scale. And the scale shows a weight of 80 kilograms. There is another calibration on weighing scale disc showing weight other than in kilograms that is in pounds, so the weight 80 kilograms of the man is shown in between scale 260 pounds and 270 pounds! That is 265 pounds which is equivalent to 80 kilograms. The ratio then between weight in kilograms and pounds is not 2.2 as is written in books, but 3.3 as seen from the movie that is taken to be the standard ratio in american and british measurements, 3.3!
Then the mesurements of bodybuilders lifting 350pounds and 600pounds weight in exercises like bench-presses and squats is infact divided with 3.3 which gives the correct weight lifted in kilograms permissible to the standard weight able to be lifted by a normal human being practicing bodybuilding!??? What do you say?
