What is a Science Forum 'Avatar'?
Are they like moderators or administrators, or mediators, or negotiators (or alligators?)?

Mine is the biohazard emblem. To get one you have to click on the "profile" button at the top of the page and then scroll down to the bottom of the new page. There should be something about downloading your avatar there. It is basically just a picture that that is meant to represent you on this site.

Pills are an overwhelming master of modern society?

I should stop attempting to be philosophical.

Well the pill has a sinister expression and is spreading it's arms and moving to fill as much available space as possible.
As I said though I suck at finding hidden meaning.

yeah take one... maybe one of jigglyPUFF

    btw, mine rocks :P
Growing up, i marveled at star-trek's science, and ignored the perfect society. Now, i try to ignore their science, and marvel at the society.

Imagine, being able to create matter out of thin air, and not coming up with using drones for boarding hostile ships. Or using drones to defend your own ship. Heck, using drones to block energy attacks, counterattack or for surveillance. Unless, of course, they are nano-machines in your blood, which is a billion times more complex..

I would install a photograph or drawing, but I'm nearly computer illiterate and don't know how.

Well, there is a computer science section here, where you could always ask for help.
