    Hi all ,

Am a Chemical engineering student and am intending to continue , later on , Masters and Phd . One of my Professors recommended that i double major chemistry with chemical engineering , so that i can skip masters and go directly for Phd after getting the Bachelor degree in both majors . So do any of you have an idea about that ?

    waiting for your responses .

The double major is probably a good idea just because of the content required.

You don't need an MS to get a PhD. In the sciences and mathematics it is the norm to get a PhD with no intervening MS. The path through an MS is more usual in engineering, but an MS is not a necessity. In fact, a BS is not an absolute necessity either.
