Well , i'm south Asian... people are disappointed to find out that I don't sound like "Ahpoop" from Simpsons.

Strange, because I saw it as an attempt at humor. Or it could be that the author feels indignant towards his accent being made humorous or entertaining, thus Ahpoop was a poke at The Simpsons writers & all English speaking TV viewers. Where I live, Ahpoop is sometimes substituted for Aw Shit! when around children or in a public gathering so maybe chrisman10 doesn't think very highly of those who do make fun of his accent but he/she is making sure that we the readers don't think of him/her as an obnoxious jerk.

I really really wasn't trying to be offensive.... I'm sorry, it was just (what I thought a friendly) remark. I just have that in me, to correct people. One again, @chrisman10 if that in any way offended you, I apologize, because it really wasn't on purpose

Relax mate....your way of seeing it was just fine, I didn't think it was offensive. Sorry if my post caused some apprehension on your part. I was not going after anything you said, just offering an alternate way of looking at it.

Seriously? o.O Or are you just asking for a specific country he is from? o.O

South Asia covers a large geographical area, so I suppose I mean, what country is the OP from. On top of that, I have not owned a television for the past seventeen years.

I take South Asia to be the Indian sub-continent (India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Bhutan and Nepal). I understand some authorities include Afghanistan and Iran in the set. Perhaps chrisman10 will give us his interpretation.
