the guy who invented TV was a Mormon and they're sort of conservative

so how many inventors have been conservatives or creationists?

the post here on should creationists be banned is bizarre

He was a member of the Kirk, probably Calvinist; "... best known for its doctrines of predestination and total depravity".

If the Mormons canít be blamed for television, they can at least be blamed for another bane of modern life, the Browning automatic handgun, soon to be the State Gun of Utah.

    1. It is not automatic.

    2. The Colt Model 1911 is one of the finest combat handguns ever, and has saved many lives.

    3. If it becomes the State Gun of Utah that would be fitting recognition of the great value of one of John Browning's inventions.

No, it's semi-automatic; however "Its formal designation as of 1940 was Automatic Pistol, Caliber .45, M1911 for the original Model of 1911 or Automatic Pistol, Caliber .45, M1911A1 for the M1911A1, adopted in 1924. The designation changed to Pistol, Caliber .45, Automatic, M1911A1 in the Vietnam era." (Wikipedia)

    I don't doubt it.

I'm sure the gang bangers around town here would agree with you.

Conservative is a relativistic term, conservative with respect to what?

    never been your lover "

Probably not. It generally appeals to those with knowledge of firearms who appreciate marksmanship over magazine capacity and have good taste.
