All they tend to do is cause controversy and provoke other members. I think we should ban them all outright, no questions asked. What do you think?

i voted no because if you decide to ban everyone who disagrees with you, you won't have much of a forum left

Only if they are disruptive--which summarizes the standard for the entire science forum.

Creationists should be treated no better and no worse than any other members. Furthermore, classification of creationists as opposed to atheists is fairly difficult; I believe in the existence of God, for example, but l also believe in the theory of evolution.

It's not really the approach to be taken.

Besides, without the evolution deniers all we would have to occupy our time over in the biology section would be people's genetics homework.

They are sometimes useful for sharpening our arguments against.

    Perhaps we should ban hotheads...

banning someone should always be done as a matter of last resort, never as a first knee-jerk reaction

Creationists should be ridiculed and made fun of, but we shouldn't ban them out right. Let them earn their bans first. The time between registering and having their account terminated seems to be directly correlated to how dedicated a creationist they are, however. Once arguments of logic and reason fail, they have only preaching and nonsense remaining, and these are the tools of trolling.

You believe in evolution, therefore you are not a Creationist.

With nothing to push forward with, there often comes a push against science. The next and last resort, which often has to come soon, is anger.

    THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL

Other than direct hurts to persons,
Which are covered by civil laws
Is what some groups think of ‘good’ arbitrary?
And harmless, until it is imposed on people?

We see many good and bad things directly,
Person to person, via the actual,
And such are the good civil laws
    And good human values taught.

The problem becomes when we ‘see’
From no direction but the imagined,
    Via the unreal.

    These ‘good’ things, merely pronounced,
    Also define their ‘bad’ counterparts.

One then ‘forgets’ their null source,
    Leaping into their complete adoption,
    Becoming more and more with them one;
Thus, the ideas must be protected.

    Anger arises toward the contrary,
    As emotion stains the brain.

    Then, evil is done
In the name of a concept of ‘good’.

    All these ‘good’ things
    Eventually
    Come to a bloody end.

this must be a first, a forum where you have to work really hard to earn your ban
