Can science prove that there is no god or that there is one?

Science can prove there is no God if you use scientific standards.

    You define a divine act.

You measure how many times it occurs within a certain timeframe.

You do a statistical analysis on whether the null hypothesis that divine acts exist can be rejected or not.

It's a probability thing though. I'll bet the probability of divine acts existing is close to zero.

The only problem is when you have a God that just sits on its arse and doesn't do anything.

    You can't measure inactivity.

more distinctly, you can prove the incredible unlikeliness on any particular religion, but to disprove the simple concept of a God, no. God can only be proven to exist through a scientific standard, but judging from the massive evidence against religions, I highly doubt that the scientific method will yield a positive result for a deity
