I just noticed I have like 50 accounts available. So if anyone wants a gmail account just post and I'll make you one.

For those of you who do not know, GMail is Google's email system. It allows 1000MB storage so you never need to delete a message again. Has email forwarding, works with most mail clients, and allows searching through your emails with google search. It is currently in Beta stages and accounts are by invite only. I just thought I'd make the offer.

I got so much spam with hotmail. I haven't gotten any with gmail so far. Well not any that made it past the spam blocker. I like all the space because then I never have to delete anything. I can just archive it and if I ever need it for anything I can still get it.

Kind of funny how G-Mail and Government-Mail both are G-Mail

Thanks for the offer, I keep all my email local and prefer to delete some things. I keep folders for all my business clients and I also keep all my sent items. I found out people tend to shut up when you can prove that yes, indeed I did tell you so

LOL, I also kind of forgot that I run my own mail server...

I've had 50 or so invites for the longest time now. It's hard to imagine how you could possibly find 50 people to invite. And they top you off after you give out even one invite.

It's annoying. But G-mail itself is awesome.

I like that I don't get so much spam as well. My spambox actually has two or three spam messages whenever I check it, so they're slowly seeping through. I think the problem might grow. But, I think I could handle it. Just blacklist all the spammers.

I also like the almost limitless space. I'm a packrat. A very packratty packrat! Very very very! I almost never delete stuff. So it's perfect for me.

It's fun for me to do the math to see when my account will be chock-full. I've had my account since the beginning of September. Somewhere around Labor Day. As of now, I have about 8MB of stuff, and there's 2131MB of free space (and that's growing daily). Assuming they stop adding free space, and I keep receiving mail at the current rate, I will run out of space by the time March 2172 rolls around. I'll be 183 years old by then, assuming I'll still be alive.

I have 50. And I have 2500 MBs of space.

With 5MB attachment's allowed, a lot of file sharing is going on. I wonder how long the RIAA will wait before they come walking in with a bunch of lawyers (Because that really is a personal privacy issue right there).

There is some software out there that makes the accounts into a hard drive, so you can just drag and drop your crap for archiving.
