    Do you agree to this?

The movie is great but by the same time it symbolizes the humans tendency to use up all the natural resources in earth and move to distant planets for resources. This indicates that earth will one day become inhospitable is that right?

Symbolises? It's not particularly well hidden. In fact, it's the theme of the whole movie. This is no more symbological than a house being the symbol for a house.

Yes I completely agree to that in search of the natural resources the greedy human beings went to disturb the lives of another planet peoples, it is completly irrelevant. So this shows the how selfish the human being is?

No, because it is a work of fiction. To show it you would have to show reality.

It's certainly a swipe at our current economics and growth which has been largely based on unsustainable exploitation of natural resources.

The movie still suggested war in Columbia; though stupid and anachronistic it means that people still live on earth in the sci-fi storyline.

    And Fern Gully.

But how many movies are truly original? Hardly any.
