i guess i'm a basefooker, but most of that stuff doesn't apply to me

also, you can customize it so that various things that cartoon are making fun of don't apply... other than that the cartoon's subject matter was not very funny(except the pig knights), although the imagery was hilarious

I'm on there to catch up with old pals, meet new ones, and share pictures.

not play games or tally up so called "friends"

and people using their kids for their profile image are fine in my book

indeed, who could have thought an economist could be such a poet, and more so he could work poetry into a lecture on economics?

The ads on craigslist are chosen based on your information, that is, you see what is appropriate for you... i am a very visual centric person and get distracted easily by ads, I try a variety of techniques to dissuade "appropriate" ads(as they will invariably be more geared towards me, and thus more attractive visually) from finding me, and lying about my age is one of them.

    I am 22

Uh, pass. Lincoln is my nearest town, I actually live in the middle of nowhere over 10 miles away. I've only actually been up to the castle once, when I was about 8, and by the marina I assume you mean on the brayford? I didn't know there was a mexican restaraunt near there, there's a lot of cafes though. I don't get along with towns/cities, so I only go to Lincoln a few times a year.

Do you think I'm lying about my location?

If you're good at geography Ophiolite you should be able to use Google Earth to find it. I know where you are reffering to as well, Lincoln is a favourite place of mine.

Are you talking about that very long steep cobbled street from the castle?

I remember my last visit, I went when Tom Hanks was filming the DaVinci code at the Catherderal. It had rained quite heavy also recently before that. The rain had washed up a lot of old coins that were on the south side of Cathederal along a hill.

Its a very nice place, with a lot of culture. I'll have to go again soon, possibly on the next trip to Skegness :P

I still don't get what you like about Skegness. It's Lincolnshire's chav central. I suppose it's wonderfully refreshing compared to Nottingham, though.

Ah, I think I know where you mean. We call it Steep Hill, I don't know if that's it's proper name though. I think you could argue it's part of the High Street.

Straight and Steep Hill the road that Ophiolite is talking about.

I like Skegness. It is the capital of chavs, yet I was there before the chavs, and I shall still be there when they are gone (hopefully gone comes around soon).

I'm considering Bournmorth as I've never been there. Although its old folks home apparently. Has anyone ever been there?

    Pretty in some places.

Nice countrysides, moors, beaches, hills, lake and peak district. Some towns and cities you don't turn your face in disgust.

Its a second world country if you ask me. Not many councils or politicians here care or maintain anything. I'd say Scotland is probably the better at the moment. Theres beauty wherever you see it though so its worth a visit

Good Lord no. I wanted the street address of the downhill road since I want to look up one of the bookshops on the internet since they had a good range of military history books.
The restaurant I mentioned may simply have had some Mexican items on the menu, though I recall an earth tones decor. It's just I've been trying to remember its name for a while and when I saw you were from Lincoln I thought there was a chance you might know it.
I used to be in the area on a monthly basis, but that was a year or two back.

I don't know about the restaraunt, but for the book shops I would say it's probably Steep Hill (or whatever it's real name is) that you're thinking of - it's basically an extension of the highstreet into the old part of the city on the hill.

A google maps search tells me it is indeed called Steep Hill, but only for part of the way up. Above there, near the castle, it's the Bailgate, and below there it's the Strait.

It depends what you're into. I wouldn't have thought it's worth coming all the way from the US just to 'ooh' and 'aah' at the hills, when you have your own back home, but there's a lot more culture and history than in the US. The church in the tiny village I live in, for instance, predates the colonisation of North America.

sorry, but i have a rather old-fashioned definition of the word "friend"

the people i sent invites to or accepted invites from are either people i know in person, or have known and conversed with on-line for long enough to get a feel of who i'm talking to

you, unfortunately, don't fit that description, at least for the time being
