I think i've already managed to come across as sexist, xenophobic and possibly racist on this forum, and while i consider myself to be none of these things, maybe the reality is that i am - but i just don't aknowledge it to myself.
So if i assume that my thinking is influenced by these latent predjudices, i have to conclude that my ethics on such topics as race, religion and gender equality must be corrupted.

So - are there any studies that test the extent to which people in general are affected by such latent predjudices, if at all?
What i want to know is, is it reasonable to assume unconscious predjudice in myself as in everyone else?

And is this why many people see tolerance as a moral absolute; its just not up for discussion?
