    hello everyone, this is just a personal experience im going though, any sensible opinions and facts would be thankful ;

    i know this person who is like super fast in solving mathematical problems in my class. he is so fast and accurate (98%) that even out speeds the teachers. it takes him like 15 minutes to solve 50 differential of log and trigonometric functions. and also he like gets assigned to do extra work in class because he does it so fast compared to the majority. most people take like the whole hour, but this person takes like 10~15 minutes. today he got assigned with the topic the class didnt even learn, and he finished like the whole topic in 30 minutes.

    what do you guys say about this? :-D

    I would guess he practices on his own. With practice, we become both faster and more accurate when solving these types of problems.

    Large number of students, let it be sience or mathematics, tend to remember formulae and try to solve problems using their memory rather than their wisdom. On the contray, a few students such as the person you have described, try to understand everything rather than memorizing and the joy he gets from solving the problems urges him to learn more and the knowledge he gets goes on multiplying.
