    Wow, what an interesting elephant.

Does anyone know anything about the psychology that's going on here? This painting clearly shows human influence and has to be a mimic, but do they ever produce impressions of things they see on their own? Other elephant paintings I find look like random scrawling.

Who knows, but either way, the paintings are amazing, regardless of whether or not they are mimics, that just showed the coordination those animals have with their trunk, and that they can paint better than me.

Truly awe inspiring video, thanks IS

Another interesting question would be the training that went into it, hopefully positive feedback, generally posititive feedback is more effective when training animals.
