I see the forum is for debating as well. Who is the biggest master debater here?

    Me.

See? I make such a persuasive arguement...

It is an interesting question that is unlikely to produce an accurate answer. Those who are best placed to accurately judge the best debater are likely, themselves, to be excellent debaters. Human nature being what it is they will either believe, suspect, or wish that they are the best debater on the forum. Their reaction will therefore be either to avoid answering at all, or to recommend someone second rate.
Of course my hope is that this very statement above will incite them to post an honest assessment.
You should have phrased the question this way. "Other than yourself, who do you think is the best debater on the forum."

I don't know the answer to either question, but I could provide a list of who isn't.

I say we have a competition. Not just another one sided topic where people can debate, but an organized competition.

One where everyone involved has to argue opposing viewpoints to the same subject.
I don't know much about how debate competitions work but this sounds about right.
For example argue why welfare is good and and why welfare is bad.
Each person gets a max of 10 points
up to 3 points for the strength of each argument
4 points for overall objectivity: no obvious favor or focus on one argument or the other

So you can ultimately score 1 on each argument, having mediocre debate skills and/or little or no facts, yet show an objectivity in their ability to represent each side equally(however shittily) and get 6 points.

Someone can also have 2 very powerful arguments, rich in facts, earning 3 points each, but have an obvious favor for one side in their arguments, and only earn 6 points total.

We can have a few rounds, the first one we form two arguments, one for each side of the topic. In the second round we form two rebuttals, one for each argument of a randomly chosen opponent. In the 3rd round everyone makes an objective comparison of each side of the conflict.

You fail in your first post.

You can't objectively quantify subjectivity, i.e. rate the greatness of my debating skills.

Well some people manage to do it.

You don't need to be objective to judge a debate successfully, you need to know who is judging you to debate successfully.

I do have good points now and again, but the way I deliver them leaves a lot to be desired in many cases.

There are others on this forum, though, that do have these abilities in good quantities. Some are moderators, some are not. Some are new, some are established. Some are reincarnations under new names.

Hmm, odd choice of words the poster opted to use for this topic. Old grade school silliness if I recall correctly.
Pleased to meet you. Hope you guess my name
