    CALLING ALL COOL NERDS!
Hmm.. Let's just say, I'm an 18 year old, hardcore female gamer and proud!
I'm totally obsessed with gaming, my favorite game would definitely be Resident Evil.
I've completed all of the games except for Code Veronica, and currently playing the fifth Resident Evil game in co-op mode.
Other games I'm totally into are Final Fantasy, God Of War (I soo cannot wait for 3rd one to come out), Metal Gear Solid, Call Of Duty, Tomb Raider and of course Guitar Hero LOL. I'm into so many there's too much to name, so I'll leave it as this, wouldn't want this thread to be longer than all 7 Harry Potter books put together now, do we?
    =P
I'm also into reading Manga and normal comic books (I actually collect these things) and watch anime. I know, I know, hard to believe a girl would be into all this huh?
    HAHA!
Well, would be great to hear from anyone, feel free to share what kinds of things you're obsessed about, whether it be gaming, anime, manga absolutely anything! (Besides Science of course! We all know Science is really cool anyway!) ^-^

im obsessed with food, from the composting, the growing, the cooking and the sharing

im also obsessed with health, martial arts, philosophy, playing guitar, singing, writing and reading... as far as games go, I hate video games, but I love strategy games. I made up a Stratego-like game using cards because no one has it, most people have never even heard of it. I love chess and poker too. Risk, axis and allies, capture the flag, boffer wars, snowball fights, etc etc.

    I don't think I'm a nerd per se, but I might be a geekazoid

"does anyone else here take Tae Kwon Do?"
No but I'm interested. How long have you been learning?

    KawaiiSJ:

Guitar: I play a $10 3/4-scale classical guitar right now, nothing fancy. My drama queen alter-ego smashed my deen jumbo acoustic bass and my johnson jumbo acoustic 6-string. drugs are bad, thats all I have to say on that subject.

Style: I play folk, jazz, blues, blue grass and punk. I love indian, spanish, gypsy and arabic scales, everything with a non-western sound, chromatics are my friend, discord my love. I don't realy like metal much, I'm more into the traditional acoustic thing.

Martial arts: I'm not really learning any school of martial arts. I practice some ninjitsu techniques, mainly because I focus on balance in my training. I also practice some tai-chi and kickboxing. I wrestle, box and stick fight with my friends. I'm trying to get a group together this summer to train in the park.

How long have you been practicing ninjitsu and playing guitar?

Books: I read Battlefield Earth not too long ago, right now I'm reading The Wall. My favorite book is Walden. I read lots of religious and philosophical texts too, my favorites are by the classical Taoists, Chang Tsu and Lao Tsu. and I read the Baghavad Gita recently too. I read a great graphic novel called "Ring of the Nebulung" it's based on an opera based on norse myth. There is no one genre I like to read, the older the better.

Have you read any good books lately? Whats your favorite?

    marcusclayman:
    Awesome info you got there!
I've been practicing Ninjutsu for a few months now, I've been playing guitar for 3 or 4 years now? So it's pretty much a very long time.
The recent books I've read were The Lord Of The Rings trilogy and I suppose those are my favorite books at the moment, but then again, it can change to something else later on lol.
I haven't been reading since then, since I'm far too busy with my studying at the moment, the only thing I can do during my free time (which I rarely have) are gaming and hanging out with friends while it lasts.

@ KawaiiSJ - I actually started TKD not too long ago...in August actually. I am going to test for the 4th belt, green belt, next Saturday. It is very enjoyable, and I have an adult sparring class today to attend! YAYYY!

You read the Gita? Wow. I attempted that, and then I got bored very quickly. All those morals were starting to get to me, so I moved on to safer and more humorous books, such as Diary of a Wimpy Kid.

Actually any exercise should make you better in bed. Yoga especially because it focuses on breathing which exercises your diaphragm. Just doing breathing exercises will make you better in bed.

Having sex often is a brilliant work out, then again why wouldn't it be? Phew! (Unless you get a lazy girl in which case you might want to do some after exercises, you know, so you don't get lactic acid built up). I use cleaning the house as my excuse as to not tick her off making her think she's lazy, that way I'm a brilliant partner because I do well in the hay and I clean, what a dreamy man I am... Ahh life is good...

By the way, isn't 'cool nerds' somewhat of an oxymoron?

    Or is that the point?

    What did you call me?

I don't think so, even though I wouldn't suspect that not many people have concuctioned the idea of a 'cool nerd'.

Um, are you mad or just being sarcastic? I can't tell.... And I wouldn't call the guys at my MEN, exactly, more like insane, squeaky-voiced giants.

Ahh, I love to make fun of them!

I think studies showed that you actually burn relatively few calories during sex than you would doing normal cardio, but normal cardio is a lot less fun.

but there are more than just one type of sex

sex can help with poor body image and fight addictions(if it doesn't become an addiction itself)

poor body image and addictions might be the sole cause of poor diet and lifestyle and thus health and fitness
