I thought it would be nice to see what people are doing/want to do. So please, if you wish post hwta your job is or what you want to be or training to be. And maybe Why?!

Mine:

I want to be in the REME (Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers)
in the British Military, i want to be a Army Vehicle Mechanic or an RAF aircraft mechanic. I think it is a nice job and it's better then being cannon fodder. And when i leave the army i have a skill i can use instead of just being able to shoot a weapon.

Don't join the military for Gods sake man. What differenence are you to a man when you stand in front of him defending his house and family when he has a gun and you murder him compared to you breaking into a mans house and doing the same? How in the same way is your action justified? In the eyes of my father, there is no difference and the same sin will be held against you, even though if you do repent you will be washed of those sins. I say to thee, do not harm this man or his family wherever you find him, rather embrace him and his family and love him, and ye with him and his family and your family will dwell and reside in the house of my father in the Kingdom of Heaven forever.

I'm unemployed. Its the way of the economy at the moment and I do not wish to toil in a horrible factory like I have done. There is no love and respect for those that you work for, but then again there isn't anywhere. Do thy not think it best that man stand by man and brother by brother and say to these toilers. No! That's why the British Army has rules of engagement. They don't kill people defending their house and family. They kill people who are planting explosives with the intent to kill those of a different religion. As to solving differences with words, go have a chat with an extremist Islamic terrorist and explain the Bible's values. I'll stick with the rifle route.

DementisVir, I highly encourage military service. RAF aircraft mechanic is a great, highly technical job if you can pass the security clearance. You'll probably get a signing bonus, a free education and work experience, not to mention money for college later (I'm a little fuzzy on college offerings in the British military). Vehicle mechanic is a great, high demand job too, just make sure you're willing to work. There's always something to do in the motor-pool. How many grease-monkeys have the opportunity to work on a 62 ton Challenger tank?

As long as you maintain motivation and take advantage of what they're offering you, it's not a bad life.

Just remember K, if you come back from active service with no hands and an eye missing, you'll still have to stand in line behind the illegal immigrants, for NHS facilities, do you really believe the UK or any other piece of dirt is wort dying for?

If you have a gun use it to force the politicians to fight amongst themselves especially after they robbed the ordinary citizen blind.

Don't be a bloody fool, all while we support war by joining up you are perpetuating it.

British armed forces should be held in reserve for the defence of Britain NOT for the oil wars or defending one bunch of sand monkeys against another.

In summary, illegal immigrants are socially beneath the disabled, untermensch sand monkeys should off each other and stop being such an eyesore on the tele, and the UK is nothing more than a piece of dirt, rather than the people who call that dirt home. How poetic.

If the UK and US hadn't pissed them off in the first place, you wouldn't be under attack. If bullets in your direction were met with something other than your own bullets, maybe they'll stop firing and you'll be a brilliant example for the next generation...

Look at all those who have fought and died over thousands of years. Their only lasting victories are borders of countries, and those countries are corrupt and degraded as the world is. The world is a prison, and all you do is keep it in control. Your not a solider, your a murdering patrol warden who shoots anyone who steps out of line.

And don't argue with me on this one, I've seen it, I know the outcomes of war and I know what its like to fight war. NOBODY WINS. NEVER. Not even freedom...

I fail to understand why the US has to invade every ideology that is alien to them (unless of course the opposition is the same size like the old USSR, or China)

Its a lot harder to live up to morals and ideals than to fight for them. The weak and the cowards are the ones who have more sense than any of you. It is the last thing I would want him to do, I didn't raise a child to become a Military pawn to promote Capitalism but then I can't stand in his way and stop him doing what he really wants to do....can I?

As was stated above there have always been men’s armies, which at this stage – we probably need them more than people with the right ideas realize. I’m not someone who supports war, killing and violence but it’s what our world is these days.


And if I were to suggest a reason I would say that even though we developed a mind and are “superior” over animals, our nature dose have some level of violence in it. Evidence of why we need to have enforcers of the law (both sovereign and international) is that there are always people out there who do not care.

An Garda Siochana, the Irish police force was introduced as an unarmed force when the 26 county Irish republic was formed. But despite the fact that the police are unarmed here in Ireland, we still have gangs, drug dealers and in recent times more terrorist activity in the North that the garda need to be watchful off.


A few years back a garda on his bike followed a suspect car travelling in Dublin. When he stopped behind them in traffic, he was shot point blank, with some shotgun. The garda was unarmed. Just last week, a young garda was struck by a car in the line of duty; two young lads who had stolen a car. I’d say they are currently regretting they ever took that car.


My point is that people out there are violent (first example) and they do stupid things when they know no better (second). The same is true on a international scale, so we do need some enforcers.
