    ???

    Wannabe like Richie Havens
    thrashing my guitar
Want to feel a bit of Madness
    driving in my car
    Wanna wail like Janis Joplin
    singing down on me
Wish I could have been Joan Baez
    and sat on Dylan’s knee.

    I’ve got my UB40
And I drink some red red wine
    Yoko was off her trolley
and what the hell was Number Nine?
    Wish I could’ve been a singer
    I would’ve been out there
    Could’ve played a mean guitar
But all I ever played was air!

    Van Morrison is the coolest
    yes man, he’s got soul
Keith Moon was such a loony
    when he gave drum roll
Wish I could’ve met Mick Jagger
and watched him strut his stuff
    He’s got huge stage presence
Man his lips are big enough!

    I like the culture clash
and all this dread and dub
I love the wickee wickee wickee
from the DJ in the club
    Should’ve been a dancer
I could have struck a pose
But I can only do it at home
    with my curtains firmly closed!

    By me

    Who's me?

I'm insane and proud of it. It makes FA difference either way.

Being very pedantic, it's impossible to vote as there hasn't been anything to vote on! We've been shown multiple questions but not been offered any solutions!

Having said that, you seem allright, a bit loopy, but I've yet to meet a girl who wasnt!

I prefer to call it 'chaos and order'. A lot of people here seem to be both. Absum! You are one of them and the world is a better place with one. Also you make things a lot let serious and make me laugh most of the time, which positivley reflects on my life after leaving this forum.

So yeah, you are nuts. Yet your 'nutsness' makes you a brilliant new form of 'sane...ness'.

Well, duh. It's our loopiness that makes us brilliant! :-D

Yet your 'nutsness' makes you a brilliant new form of 'sane...ness'.
I always thought completely sane people were always a bore. Take me for example. One day, recently, some telemarketer (damn them!) called our house for the 8 millionth time, and I picked up the phone. Immediately, "Hello, this is blah blah blah, would you be interested in blah blah blah? We at the-"

Well, i immediately interrupted and said, could you hold on one second, I need to get a pen to write down te company name. Really, I went to get one of the left over balloons from my little party and quickly blew it up. Then, I took a pen, stood next to the phone, and jammed the pen in, yelling, "Ahh! I've been shot!" Then I slammed down the phone, and walked away, a happier girl.

However, the stupid telemarketer called the fricking 911 and two minutes later, the police and medics call my house asking who's been shot, where's the body, and what's my address.

And i'm just standing there wondering what the hell is going on.

Needless to say, my mother was not a happy woman that night. My dad, heh heh, whew he can get PISSED. Personally, I thought it was kinda funny, but I don't know. Maybe my parents are just too "sane" to get it.

All in all, insanity rocks. Who needs maturity anyway?

Do you think I am nuts
Being nuts is relative and I'd rather be a bit nuts than one of the crowd! You are certainly NOT one of the crowd and definitely one of the good guys. The world needs more people like you in it!

Chaos & Order eh? Mmmm.......polarities.......yes this world seems to be full of contradictions and paradoxes!
Better to be acquainted with all the possibilities and keep yourself flexible so you don't fall and get trapped into one mode only

I like your 'nutness' too and you make me laugh which also positively reflects on my life too

A point which the other posters on this sycophantic thread are unaware of is that your particular brand of 'nuttiness' is unusually self-centred, blinkered and aggressive. (As well as stunningly unobservant.)

Further, more detailed comments would rightly earn me a ban, so I'll jut have to content myself with a torrential downpour.

Trust me, she loves being whipped and will not take offense to your comments, In some ways I see her as refresshing, and wickedly amusing. If I said to her "I'd like to see more of your comments" She'd reply "Is that what you call them down south you naughty boy..."

    chuckle

John you are so funny but maybe you're one of those fortunate people who don't realise it, and that makes them even funnier!??!

You know John (and surely you must!) quality of life is all about perception and interpretation.
It's not what's out there that's most important. It's what's 'in there' inside your head that matters, and what & how you think about things which taints our vision and interpretations.

Your comments above smacks of bitterness, malice and spite.

Now I realise that comes from me upsetting you on a previous thread where your perception & interpretation of your self had become so much expanded beyond the reasonable that my interpretation of you as being an intellectual arrogant egotistical snob caused this fragile bubble of yours to burst like a vicious pustule and scatter its poisonous vitriol across several over threads and into my PM inbox.

Therefore I can only feel sorry for you that you have become so basted in your own bitterness, that all you see is negativity and malice.

Now you talk of me being Sycophantic.........

A sycophant (from the Greek συκοφάντης sykophántēs) is a servile person who, acting in his or her own self interest, attempts to win favor by flattering one or more influential persons, with an undertone that these actions are executed at the cost of his or her own personal pride, principles, and peer respect.
    (Courtesy of Wikipedia...yawn)

But I would hardly say I was servile or attempting to win favour by flattering influential persons, considering I have been banned previously on this forum for rubbing some of the influential people up the wrong way!

This thread was begun as a comical response to the silly nonsensical polls that are put up periodically.
What others put in response is of their own volition.
I'm a girl that likes honesty at all costs. And I can take the honest truth even where it hurts.
Everyone's opinions vary and that's the beauty & spice of life, variety!

I welcome insults, the funnier and wittier and drier and creative the better.
It's only a fool who takes to heart what other fools think. And especially a faceless avatar fool on an internet forum.
Which is why i find it immensely funny when people show outrage and offense at another persons comments.
The reason for this is not only that people have a tendency to take themselves far tooo seriously, but they then expect others to take them far too seriously as well, and when they don't they become outraged! lol

It confuses me, because I think, 'these people seem to be intelligent, smart, wise etc etc' so why are they being stupid enough to take such offense at someone else's opinions and remarks???
Surely they know who and what they are and are aware that this faceless person doesn't know anything much about them and so they are not an authority on me or you as a person.

That's what baffles me most on the forums, and that's the reason I sometimes poke, prod and provoke. I guess I am hoping the person I am prodding might suddenly wake up to the ridiculousness of their attitude and be able to rise above it, but no, the show goes on............and on.....

Yet....I am relieved and so glad that there are some on this forum who do have a sense of humour and are capable of rising above things as well as seeing through things.....and you know what?........those people appear to me to be far more naturally and wholesomely intelligent and clever than people, such as you John, because they don't need to work so hard at putting across that they are intelligent, they just are, and they have the genuineness to match it.
All the people that have posted positive comments have previously become my friends, because they have this rare quality about them.
You make yourself look a tit John simply by trying too hard, whereas it's obvious to others what you're about. People like you are easy to tip over, because you blanace so precariously on not knowing who you are or your worth, which is why you feel the need to work so hard at it.

Did your Mum ever tell you when you were little that people can only upset you IF you let them? And the best way to get your own back is to just walk away and ignore them???? Obviously not, or you've forgotten.

Well John, I hope for your sake, the vitriol dies down, it's not good for your health. You will get stomach ulcers and other complications if you don't learn to rise above things.

But just to let you know for the future.....the harder you try to insult, the harder you make me laugh.

Well Absum. An attempt to patronise and take the moral high ground while simultaneously pretending indifference. And it took you 790+ words to do it. I don't think it's working, do you?

    Quit while you're behind.

It's only a fool who takes to heart what other fools think. And especially a faceless avatar fool on an internet forum.
Which is why i find it immensely funny when people show outrage and offense at another persons comments.
The reason for this is not only that people have a tendency to take themselves far tooo seriously, but they then expect others to take them far too seriously as well, and when they don't they become outraged! lol
    Sorry about that Tritai....

But with certain people you can't pull punches or take prisoners as well as knowing when to be hard and when to be soft otherwise the Piranha fish will eat you!
