maybe you're talking about a different system than there is in the states, but aren't minor/major and undergraduate degrees the same? In undergrad you pick you major and may or may not pick a minor. Maybe you're thinking of Master's?
Man can will nothing unless he has first understood that he must count on no one but himself; that he is alone, abandoned on earth in the midst of his infinite responsibilities, without help, with no other aim than the one he sets himself, with no other destiny than the one he forges for himself on this earth.

Because the Brits made the system the yanks use. They just changed everything a little, by a little I mean a lot to lose ties to the UK.

I'm a college average. I made it through but am lacking funds to go to Uni.

You think that's confusing, somehow we ended up with a French + British fusion system in Quebec.

Primary School: Kindergarten to Primary 6

Secondary School: Sec 1 to Sec 5

CEGEP: 2 year pre-university DEC, or 3 year professional DEP (like electrician and such)

University: 3 years for a bachelor.

And to answer the question, I finish my bachelor in 2 weeks.
