The site offers a proof of life on Mars.

My, what a way you have with words ES. I have never seen proof applied quite so loosely before. Having viewed your sight in the past, and commented on your delusions on other forums, I thought I would dig a little deeper.
To my delight I discovered incontrovertible evidence that you are a troll and a faker.
Here from your own site are these words:

Now, lets say the general jest of what has been described above, is mostly correct.

The correct English is, of course:
Now, lets say the general gist of what has been described above, is mostly correct.

But you very cleverly insert the word jest, a mistake that might be expected from one as uneducated, foolish and sloppy, as the persona you seek to portray. But it also introduces the cryptic meaning, publicly displayed to amuse yourself - that the whole website, and the claims of macroscopic life, are intended purely as a joke.

Now, I am sure it will disappointing if everyone knows you have been rumbled. This is still a small forum by internet standards, so your secret will be failry safe here. Simply admit that you have been pulling everone's leg from the outset and this is the only place the discovery will appear.
So, go on, fess up.

I really wasn't criticising his English. I genuinely think his whole site and posts on this and other forums may be a wind up; that his use of jest rather than gist was a deliberate act, a way of thumbing his nose at those dumb enough to waste time arguing with him.
If I was genuinely poking fun at his English I would not have left the incorrect spelling of site (sight) in my post. I think it's a rather neat pun - never viewed your sight - and it gave him an opportunity to pore scorn on me for my English.
(Do you see the hole in my argument? )
