I am sick of that FORUM FRESHER tag below my avatar in each of my post!!

I'm aware that I shouldn't spam. And I don't have time to answer much questions.

After how many posts does that change?

At least I can try to answer some more questions purposefully if I know the number!

I don't know, some of the other members might.

    Ask Skinwalker he's the administrator.

I shouldn't let the title bother you.

It has no indication about how knowledgeable you are.

You should be more bothered about the quality of posts you make.

Absum! has never been bored in her life, but is becoming increasingly bored of the Science Forum! :?

At 100 post you will graduate from being a forum FreshMAN to being a forum sophomore. I am not sure as to when the graduation from sophomore to junior is sorry.

It does look like a serpent in the grass now you come to mention it, Sudhamsu, but pretty classy nevertheless.
Clever of you to match the forum colour scheme. The avatar is great.

I'm still a forum freshman too, and behind your post count.

I'm not sure why people have not narrowed down the cutoff for various forum ranks. I mean if you look around and find someone who's a sophomore with 180 posts you can conclude it's 180 or less. I think if you dig around enough you'll be able to narrow it down exactly. This is a science forum after all
Pleased to meet you. Hope you guess my name

I found in general there is a negative correlation between the quality of post and the number. In certain forums, the high ranking members could even be "hired-guns" who act on behalf of somebody else. These people usually post a lot of replies but few threads. That is why I don't think it is a good idea to rank members by the number of post.

Nobody is claiming that more posts = quality poster. The ranks only indicate post number, not anything else. If you or someone else thinks the ranks are intended to indicate member quality then you are putting meaning into the rank system that does not exist.
Man can will nothing unless he has first understood that he must count on no one but himself; that he is alone, abandoned on earth in the midst of his infinite responsibilities, without help, with no other aim than the one he sets himself, with no other destiny than the one he forges for himself on this earth.
