I am a new member of the Science Forum. I hope my question fits to this thread.
It is a technical issue regarding the collection of root exudates from soil. It is not an easy task and according to the literature still remains as a challenge.
There are some techniques (microsuction cubs, microdialysis, rhizoboxes) that are used in order to sample root exudates, however they also have some drawbacks, e.g. they collect very small amounts of soil solution. I would need to collect at least around 1-2 ml.
Here is my question, has anyone been studying root exudates and could recommend any technique for their collection from soil?
I will appreciate your help very much.
