I've always imagined clouds to be made of water droplets... but...

Some of the clouds are floating about at altitudes where the air is freezing cold, right?
So is the water in theses clouds forming snow flakes or ice particles?

High clouds can be supercooled liquid, which lacking a freezing nucleus can remain liquid down to about -20C, or ice crystals.
