If your Garden Soil is slightly acidic it is time to have your Gardener(s) turn a deep spitfull of vegetable patch over, to allow you to broadcast handfulls of garden Lime on the broken surface. With some luck the rain will be sufficient to wash it in. Otherwise a good watering will be required. Thenleave it be for 5/6 weeks, Soil will be warmer by then, and you can till the small weeds in before planting out your seedlings. Lime is necessary to help release nutrients locked up in the soil. westwind.
