Albedo is the measure of how much light falling on a body is reflected back. Objects with high albedo reflect more light those with low albedo. It is only the light that is absorbed by the object that increases its temperature. The more light reflected back out into space the less it heats the object.

The heated mind resents the chill touch & relentless scrutiny of logic"-W.E. Gladstone
