I've heard of these environmental golf course, but how would they take care of problems like destroying habitat and biodiversity or having to drain and then fill marsh area.

A: Smaller golf courses; and B: "hill billy golf" played with tennis balls and putters in the woods, aiming for larger holes.

Most modern golf course are anything but environmentally friendly. Grasses and flowerbeds made up of non-native species and sometimes invasive species; high uses of water and nitrogen based fertilizers which run off and contribute to oxygen depleted lakes and bays downstream; and little biodiversity and other problems make them little more than environmentally damaged areas dresses up to look pretty.

The golf industry need information specific to the environmental attributes of golf courses, including natural resource inventories, management inputs and environmental stewardship practices. This information will provide baseline data for documenting changes in environmental practices over time and help set priorities for education, research, member services and other environmental programs.

A golf course can incorporate the fun just with the installation of a golf course moving windmills, creating a landscape of water around the course and ensure that each hole is a crazy angle, you can play. Each hole is usually made of synthetic turf. Since the golf course designers to address the material most often you can give a better discount and do not buy me. Mini Golf designer can create what you have in mind, and you can not say what works and what would be best avoided.

Golf courses are not usually built in the wild. If they weren't there - some other man- made environmental modification likely would be. Short of significant water pollution, "green" or environmentally friendly courses are more a gesture or fetish than an environmentally-significant effort.
