I am just unsure what values of capacitors and resistors to use with a 4046. The only other thing I know is the ratio detector. I had a gif of an FM detector using, I believe it was CMOS NAND gates with resistors and capacitors, tuned to 10.7 MHz.

To work this out we need a little more data, it is quite straightforward but many seem to drown in the maths when working out the loop filter values.Quote:

Most detectors are quadrature detectors these days and are usually contained within IC IF amplifiers..
