    Hey,
Bit of a weird one here but I was wondering if there would be a way to make your hand into a taser. Basically electrocuting your hand and whatever it touches but leaving the rest of your body unharmed.
Thanks to anyone that could answer my shower thought.

A Taser or conducted electrical weapon (CEW) is an electroshock weapon sold by Axon. It fires two small dart-like electrodes, which stay connected to the main unit by conductors, to deliver high voltage electric current to disrupt voluntary control of muscles causing "neuromuscular incapacitation".
You would need to devise a way to engineer your hand to perform this function and also have it electrically isolated from the rest of your body, i.e. cutting it off.

It probably wouldn't be too difficult to use a heavy, thick rubber glove, like those used to handle dangerous chemicals, and mount the guts of a stun gun on it. Just extend the output leads to electrodes placed on the thumb and pinky of the glove. In practicality, such a glove really wouldn't have any advantage over a standard hand held stun gun...aside from the cool factor. It might be even less practical, as the device would most likely have to be activated with your other hand.

You would also need to consider that in many jurisdictions, carrying or using a stun gun is a crime. While stun guns are consider "non-lethal", they can and do kill people. Shock someone with a heart condition or a pace maker, and you could be looking at felony manslaughter charges.

Upon further consideration, I don't think my rubber glove idea would work. Stun guns have enough voltage potential to push an arc across an inch or more of air. While rubber is a good insulator, air is even less conductive. I'm not sure if you could make a pair of rubber gloves that would be thick enough to prevent voltage from leaking into your hand, and still be wearable. There might be other solutions, like maybe adding pads of Teflon under the electrodes to give greater insulation. This would be something I'd want test real world with meters before ever actually wearing.
