I had a thought. Using a set system of vibrations, it is plausible that one could create electromagnetic energy. If you contained this electromagnetic energy and converted it to electricity, you could theoretically create a constant and sustainable energy source. (and yes, I did get some quite a few ideas from tesla) what are your thoughts?

Yes. If you vibrate a magnet within a conductive loop you will generate electricity.

    What powers the vibration?

AAAARGH! Oh no! Not bloody Tesla yet again!

Seriously, Billvon is quite right: the point is from where you get the energy for these "vibrations.

If a vibrating system is used to generate electricity, energy is extracted, so the vibrations will be damped by the generation process and will stop - unless more energy is put into them to maintain them. That's why you need a turbine in a power station: you can't just set the generator spinning and take energy out as long as you like, because the power extraction acts as a brake on its rotation.

So indeed, what vibrations do you intend to harness and from where will their energy come?

Instead of vibrations you could use a changing magnetic field to produce an induce current# turbine and that makes it mechanical energy to electrical which I already have in my house.......

    Tell me something new please#
