    hi
i have an LG 20LC1R television that is stuck on child lock (the buttons on the tv itself)
the problem is, i have no remote to remove it

i was going to use this television as a 2nd screen for my computer but i cant set it on pc input because of the lock

anyone knows a way to fix this ? searched the internet for a while and the only way i found is to buy a new remote (which is quite useless...)
i also read that removing the internal battery would reset the lock, i was hoping someone could comfirm this.

    thx in advance

Not sure what you mean by "which is quite useless" - but, rather than buying a remote, have you tried asking a hi-fi/tv shop if you may borrow a remote?
A lot of TV models work with similar remotes. So, if they sell any LG TVs, the remotes may work.
(You could maybe leave a deposit if they are concerned you'll steal it.)

im using it as a pc screen, not a television, hence, remote not necessary(for my usage)
and, i have tried a universal remote before, the problem was i could do everything except entering the menu.
buttons on the remote didn't do what they were supposed to do (e.g volume up adjusted brightness)
that remote is broke by now and thats why i dont want to buy another one

dunno if you can borrow a remote from a store, always worth a shot
