There is nothing it seems quite as keenly contested as the title for best mobile/cell phone. Right now there seems to be many contenders up for this particular honor, but here are 3 very worthy contenders up for consideration:

The Apple iphone 5, the Samsung galaxy S4 and the BlackBerry z10.

The iphone 5 has been with us for a while now and being the most advanced model still currently available makes it a keen favourite amongst Apple users, so with the prospect of iphone 6 now on the horizon is the iphone 5 still in with a shout for the title of worlds best?

Next we come to the galaxy S4, undeniably a lovely piece of engineering by anyones standards, showing just how far Samsung's design team have come in recent years, as an update to the feature packed S3 the S4 comes with even more tech and runs faster with it, a worthy contender already established as the very best in many people's eyes.

Finally we come to the third for our comparison, the BlackBerry z10, a slight departure from traditional Blackberry designs not everybody is going to get along with this new range topper despite the many new features and smoother OS, a contender for sure but good enough to be the best?

I don't think you could go wrong with any of those phones, honestly, and I would consider putting the HTC One up there with those. I could never switch to the small screen of an iPhone after having mine (GS3) for so long, but it's still a good phone. My girlfriend has the S4 and it's similar to the S3, just with extra features, better specs, etc. I've been curious to try out the new Blackberry, but I don't know anyone that has one. I also enjoy being able to customize in pretty much any way I want. In today's market with the abundance of good phones, it's mostly a matter of preference.

Yes there seems some good reports out on the HTC One, don't know to much about it though. I guess here I'm possibly a bit biased towards the Samsung, I really like the design and ease of use, perhaps only slight drawback with S4 is you don't have access to quite so many apps as with the iphone 5. I've had a thing for the Blackberry for a few years, but I not so sure about this new design, the z10 is certainly a departure from the last great model the (9900) perhaps it will become an aquired taste when people actually start using it.

A lot of people hate on the S4's design (maybe because it's similar to the S3? idk), but I love it. Besides, performance matters more than looks to me. I mean, it's a phone, not a diamond ring.

Although I think a lot of it depends on what you're after, I'd say at its best the iPhone would probably take the cake - the catch is that "at its best" means being an Apple person through and through. Having a Mac, and whatever other stuff that company churns out. Aficionados of Slack can sync up all their devices to work together as one perfect tool in the never-ending war against needless effort.
